PVD-Series exhaust blast valves
Blast valves are used for protection of generator and combustion engine exhaust pipes in Civil Defense and government shelters. The PVD blast valves are typically used in applications that require high blast protection from the positive phase of the blast. Allowing the blast load to enter the protected space can seriously harm people and equipment.
Temet’s hot exhaust blast valves are designed to operate with exhaust gas temperature up to 650 C. Special LP PP wall sleeves are generally installed together with the PVD valves to protect the concrete wall from damage caused by the high temperature of exhaust gas.
