Temet invests heavily in automation – Yaskawa offers solution to robotic cells

Jan 30, 2018

Yaskawa Finland will be delivering a new robotic solution to the Temet´s Herttoniemi factory located in Helsinki, Finland. The robotic cells are delivered to the welding and machine tooling sections step by step during this spring. All new equipment will be ready for use by the end of June.

This investment, worth more than one million euros, will improve Temet´s delivery times significantly, especially in larger deliveries. This is very important especially with export projects where the ability for rapid deliveries is a major competitive factor.

"We already have had good experiences from Yaskawa's robotics," says Kalle Kataja, Director of Production. "The ability to respond to the needs of major projects without special arrangements is a critical success factor for the growth of Temet," comments Ilkka Kivisaari, CEO.
